Refund Policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

You get back every rupee we have not yet spent or earned: unused government fees are always refunded, and our professional fee is refunded according to how far your work has progressed.

1. How refunds work

Every ThinkFiling price has two parts, and each is refunded differently:

  • Government and third-party fees (MCA fees, stamp duty, DSC charges): we pay these at actual cost. Any amount we have not yet paid to an authority or provider is always refunded in full. Once paid, the authority or provider does not return it, so neither can we.
  • Professional fee (plus GST): refunded according to how much of the work has been done, as set out below.

We do not deduct payment gateway charges or cancellation fees from refunds.

2. Company and LLP incorporation

This applies to Private Limited Company, One Person Company, LLP and similar incorporation packages. The stage is the one your order has reached when you ask for a refund, as shown in your client portal.

Stage when you cancel

Professional fee refunded

Government and third-party fees

Order paid, work not started

100%

100% refunded

Documents received and under review; no DSC applied for and nothing filed

75%

100% refunded

DSC issued, or name application (SPICe+ Part A or RUN-LLP) filed

50%

Amounts already paid are not refundable; the rest is refunded

Incorporation form (SPICe+ Part B or FiLLiP) filed with MCA

0%

Amounts already paid are not refundable; the rest is refunded

If your proposed name is rejected, we file up to two fresh name applications at no extra professional fee. If you decide not to go ahead after that, the third row above applies.

If MCA rejects the incorporation application for a reason within our control, we re-file at no extra cost or, if you prefer, refund the professional fee in full. If it is rejected because of information or documents you provided, the fourth row applies.

3. Annual compliance retainers

You can cancel a retainer at any time from your client portal or by email.

  • Within 15 days of payment, if no filing has been made under the retainer: full refund.
  • After 15 days: we refund the professional fee for the full months remaining in the retainer period, minus the listed price of any filing already completed (such as AOC-4, MGT-7, Form 11, Form 8 or DIR-3 KYC). Unused government fees are refunded in full.
  • Retainers renew only when you pay for the next period. We never renew or charge you automatically without your approval.

4. Other one-time services

For registrations, changes and event-based filings (for example GST registration, director appointment, registered office change or share allotment):

  • Before we submit anything to an authority: professional fee refunded in full, less 25% if we have already prepared documents for you.
  • After submission: the professional fee is not refundable. Unused government fees are refunded in full.

5. Full refunds and non-refundable items

You get a full refund of the professional fee, whatever the stage, if:

  • We cancel your order or cannot deliver the service
  • We have not started work within 5 working days of receiving your complete documents
  • You were charged twice or charged the wrong amount
  • A filing fails because of an error that was ours

These are never refundable, because they are paid to or used by someone else:

  • Government fees, stamp duty and penalties already paid to an authority
  • DSCs already issued, since each is issued in your name
  • Late fees or additional fees caused by delays in providing documents, approvals or payments

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email [support@thinkfiling.com] from your registered email address, or use the cancel option in your client portal. Include your order number.
  2. We confirm the stage of your order and the amount due within 2 working days.
  3. We process the refund within 7 working days of that confirmation, to the original payment method through Razorpay.
  4. Your bank or card issuer usually credits it within 5 to 7 working days after that.

Refund requests should be made within 90 days of payment. Where GST was charged, we will issue a credit note for the refunded amount.

7. Contact

For refund questions or complaints, write to [support@thinkfiling.com]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can escalate to our Grievance Officer, [Grievance Officer name], at the same address. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.

This policy forms part of our [Terms and Conditions]. We may update it, but changes do not apply to orders already paid for.
