ESIC in Telangana

ESIC's regional office for Telangana is in Hyderabad, with branch offices across the state. Hyderabad and most Telangana districts are ESI-notified areas. Insured employees and their families can use ESIC dispensaries and hospitals, including the ESIC medical college and hospital at Sanathnagar, for treatment.

Industrial Areas and Contract Labour

Plants in areas like Jeedimetla, Patancheru, Bollaram and Pashamylaram commonly use contract labour. As principal employer, you can be liable if contractors don't pay PF and ESI for workers deployed at your site. Collect monthly proof of deposits, check that workers' UANs and ESI numbers appear in contractors' returns, and keep records.

Inspections

EPFO and ESIC can inspect records and assess dues. Keep attendance, wage registers, challans and returns ready. Common findings include excluding allowances from PF wages, missing contract workers, and late deposits.
